Requirements

In order for your company to participate in the festival, you must meet this list of requirements:

  1. Read the AACTFest Handbook for 2009 in its entirety. Copies may be obtained from the AACT website.

  2. Select a production for the competition.
    • Selection may be a one-act, full-length cut with permission, or one act of a full length play that stands alone.
    • Pyrotechnics and firearms will be allowed only with prior approval. The Las Cruces Fire Department requires specific information including type, specifications and details for use. Please contact the Las Cruces Fire Marshall for written permission prior to the festival. The Las Cruces Fire Marshall can be reached at 575-528-4150. A copy of the approval form must be provided to LCCT before rehearsal times.

  3. Officially enter in the NM State Festival - Requirements:
    • You must commit to participation by November 15, 2008.
    • Send your TNM Organizational Entry/Membership fee with the completed AACTFest Entry Information to be received by November 15, 2008. If your organization is already an AACT member, please furnish proof and if you wish, you may fill out an AACT Organizational Membership form on-line at www.aact.org. Non-AACT members must pay a participation fee and, should they be selected to proceed, will be required to join AACT before the Regional competition.
    • Send the completed AACTFest Technical Information form.
    • All other requirements listed in section 2.04 of the Handbook should be received on or before November 15, 2008.
    • Send Individual Registration/Membership forms with the proper fees for each person in your organization who plans to participate. Deadline for Individuals is postmarked January 10, 2009. (May be sent earlier with other forms and fees.) All checks should be made out to TNM and sent to: Reginia Garner, TNM Treasurer, 803 W. Centre Ave., Artesia, NM 88210-2721.
    • The deadline to be able to cancel and receive a full refund is December 15, 2008.
    • All forms must be mailed to Reginia Garner; TNM Treasurer, 803 W. Centre Ave., Artesia, NM 88210-2721. Please send a copy of all forms to LCCT; attn: Larry Fisher, P.O Box 1281, Las Cruces, NM 88004.
    • LCCT will provide a festival program covering all entries; if individual company wants their own program, they must provide the program to the Front of House chair prior to performances.
